We are the mysterious, highly under-represented Gen X. We are defined by cult movies and groundbreaking music.
We created the commercial internet and video games. We straddle the industrial and information ages; yet we fly under the radar.
Submissions are open NOW through December 31 for an anthology to be published in 2027. There is no cost to submit. Please carefully note submission guidelines below, then send your submission to GENXPOVSUBMISSION@GMAIL.COM

Submitters must be members of Gen X, which we define as people born between 1965 and 1980. Boomers, Millennials, Gen Z: you're gonna have to sit this one out.
Written submissions may be in any format and of any length, including essays, lyrical non-fiction, poetry, flash fiction, interviews, and articles. There is no limit to the number of submissions. Previously published work is encouraged -- please cite first publisher in your submission.
Send written work as an attached Word document (.doc) or PDF, ideally in Times New Roman 12pt.
Send artwork as an attached JPEG, GIF, or PDF file. Color artwork is accepted but will be published in black and white within the anthology.
Submission must include name, contact info (email), and where it was previously published (if applicable).
AI Policy: AI doesn't scream Gen X to us. If we can tell your work was AI-generated, we won't want it.
We want work that shares Gen X's unique brand of wisdom, our inimitable yet tough-to-define POV, in ways that both relatable and eye-opening. Make us think, make us chuckle, blow our hair back -- and help us build an anthology that dares to capture our generation's experience.
